Port Clinton, OH] On Monday, October 28, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. The United Way of Greater Toledo supported by the Ottawa County Advisory Board presents “Understanding the Nonprofit Landscape of Ottawa County and Northwest Ohio” at Camp Perry Lodging & Conference Center, 1000 N Lawrence Rd, Bldg. 600, Port Clinton, OH, 43452.

This presentation is an update to a study completed in 2018 by the Center for Nonprofit Resources. The Community Analytics and Research Department of the United Way of Greater Toledo completed this effort and is sharing the findings. The findings will offer a deep dive into the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities that are shaping local organizations. With this information, nonprofit organizations and their stakeholders will gain valuable insights to help navigate these changes, enhance impact, and connect with fellow community leaders and advocates.

In the United Way of Greater Toledo’s service area, 40% of families are struggling every day with tough choices like whether they can buy groceries or medications, or if they can fix their cars or pay their electric bills. These families rely on social service nonprofits to support their daily lives. Government-funded programs can only meet part of the need, and the reliance on nonprofit social services organizations fills the gaps. This presentation will inform nonprofit organizations, corporate partners, elected officials, and community leaders, and help them with strategic planning for the future.
