“54% of individuals served by LISC were able to increase net income by an average of nearly $900/month “

The next partner, I visited was Local Initiatives Support Corporation or better known as LISC Toledo.

United Way works with LISC in a variety of ways. One program that United Way supports is the Financial Opportunity Centers (FOC). I met with Shaulonda Jones, assistant program officer, and we talked about how the FOCs are helping families improve their financial situations and achieve key outcomes!

The Uniters is a video series that highlights United Way’s community partners and their work in the community. Moreover, all partners who are featured have applied for United Way funding during the most recent community grant process. They were selected with the help of 28 community reviewers.
