Women’s Initiative

Women’s Initiative of United Way’s mission is to mobilize and network women to become leaders, philanthropists and advocates on issues concerning women and children. Started in 2001, our affinity group has raised and invested over $2 million dollars into programming that supports women and children. Past programs supported by our group included WordShop and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Lucas County.

Since 2023, Women’s Initiative has begun raising funds for the Family & Child Abuse Prevention Center.
