What motivates you to do this important but challenging work?
The clients we speak to every day motivate me to keep coming back! Their stories and the hope that we can make a difference are what keep me going.

What’s one thing everyone should know about 211?
That while we might be a small group of people, we are local helpers with big ambitions! We might not always have exactly what you’re looking for, but we will always be an advocate for you and do what we can to make your day a little easier!

I have always been someone who loves to help

What motivates you to do this important but challenging work?
I try to find small ways each day to make a difference in at least one person’s life. This work, though challenging, gives me a place to channel that energy and help multiple people a day.

What’s one thing everyone should know about 211?
The staff here truly are some of the most caring people I’ve ever met. They really do want to impact people in a positive way, and many of them continue working in the community, even when they’re off the clock.

What motivates you to do this important but challenging work?
What motivates me is understanding that some people are not aware of the many resources available to them, and I enjoy providing those connections. It’s also rewarding to see/hear the success stories of those who reached out to United Way and made positive life changes thereafter.

211 is a great starting point for those experiencing conflict, crisis or just want to know general information, so don’t hesitate to call.
