[Port Clinton, OH] On Saturday, August 17, 2024, United Way in Ottawa County will host the 2024 Incredible Rubber Duck Race in partnership with the Port Clinton Lighthouse & Maritime Festival. The Lighthouse & Maritime Festival runs from 10am to 4pm at Waterworks Park, and the Incredible Rubber Duck Race launches at 2pm at Derby Pond – free and open to all to observe!
At 2pm, we will drop hundreds of rubber ducks into Derby Pond, and the duck that crosses the finish line at the other side of the pond first will win $1,000! The Port Clinton City Fire Department will be present to motivate the ducks that need some extra help crossing the pond. Even the slowest swimmer (the underduck) can win big with a gift basket.

2nd place – $500
3rd place – MEGA Gift Basket Last place – Gift Basket
All funds raised from the Duck Race will be used to support health and human services for Ottawa County residents through United Way’s network of funded partners, including programs at Ottawa County Senior Resources, Ottawa County Transitional Housing Inc, Ottawa County Family Advocacy Center, and Port Clinton City School District.
