211 is a free, anonymous information and referral service available 24/7 via phone, text, and online chat, connecting individuals to essential community resources. Similar to 911 for emergencies and 988 for mental health crises, 211 is a vital component of public infrastructure in Northwest Ohio. While 211 is available nationwide, it is locally funded and managed by United Way of Greater Toledo, linking residents to crucial health and human services, including disaster relief, eviction prevention, legal assistance, tax preparation, job opportunities, and access to food, clothing, and shelter. Callers are guided by Community Resource Advisors (CRAs), who work to identify underlying issues through thoughtful questioning to support sustainable solutions. Additionally, 211 offers translation services and connects users to over 800 organizations and 2,300 programs. For more information on how 211 positively impacts our community, visit www.211nwo.org (http://www.211nwo.org).

Join us for a celebration of the positive impact that United Way of Greater Toledo and 211 have in our community. This year’s breakfast will take place at the Glass Pavilion, emphasizing the collaboration between United Way and the Toledo Museum of Art. 211 plays a crucial role in connecting individuals with social services that address health, education, financial stability, and housing issues. Research indicates that social determinants of health greatly influence overall well-being. By partnering with local cultural organizations, United Way aims to enhance access to enriching experiences that can alleviate stress, boost physical and cognitive health, and improve the overall quality of life for community residents. We also want to commend the Museum for its welcoming approach to engaging local residents and for securing a sponsorship for free parking, increasing accessibility for all visitors.
