[Ottawa County, Ohio] — Hundreds of rubber ducks are ready to make a splash as United Way of Greater Toledo, proudly serving Ottawa County, brings back its beloved annual Duck Race! This year’s event will take place on Saturday, August 16th at Waterworks Park, in collaboration with the Port Clinton Lighthouse Festival—offering a fun-filled day of community celebration, fundraising, and meaningful impact.
The Duck Race is a signature United Way event that raises vital funds to support local programs focused on education, financial stability, and health in Ottawa County. Each duck adopted represents a chance to win exciting prizes—and more importantly, a chance to make a real difference in the lives of local residents.
“This event is such a fun and unique way to give back,” said Allison Abbolone, Chair of the United Way Ottawa County Advisory Board. “Behind every duck is real change—a child receiving early education support, a family accessing food or shelter, or a senior receiving care. Your support makes that possible.”
