The Emerging Leaders of United Way’s mission is to improve the Greater Toledo area by mobilizing its next generation of philanthropists to advance the common good. This affinity group’s vision is to be the pipeline for future philanthropic leaders, guiding them on their journey to strengthen our community through meaningful service, leadership development and networking opportunities.

Emerging Leaders Executive Committee

Throughout the year, this committee helps plans volunteer and engagement opportunities for members and ensure we’re meeting the needs of young professionals who desire to support our community.

Signature Mentorship Program

Members of Emerging Leaders have the opportunity to be a part of the Signature Mentorship Program, which pairs Emerging Leaders with an established community leader for nine months. During the program, mentees receive:

Opportunity to grow their network and accelerate their personal and professional development.
Develop a strong connection with a successful leader that can last a lifetime.
Access to special events that provide a deeper look into our community.

Join Emerging Leaders

United Way of Greater Toledo donors who give at least $250 or $21/month during the annual campaign can become a member of Emerging Leaders and receive special access to events and leadership development and volunteer opportunities, as well as other United Way donor benefits such as Donor Appreciation Rewards.
