United Way Days of Caring

Ever thought about organizing a group to go out and give back for a day?The United Way Volunteer Center organizes Days of Caring for businesses, churches, fraternities and sororities, schools, or any other group of people. Based on your group's interest and community needs, you are assigned volunteer projects that could include (but are not limited to) tutoring, painting, cleaning, gardening, organizing, building, or visiting. It's a great way to engage your employees in the community and give back!

These projects are a great way to reach out a hand to your community while building teamwork, skills, and camaraderie.

 

Get Everyone Involved

  • Follow Medical Mutual's lead and offer a paid day to volunteer in a project centered on education
  • Or O-I's example of organized departmental Days of Caring throughout the year
  • Or Sunshine, Inc.'s great idea to volunteer as a nonprofit organization to help out another nonprofit organization
