Ambassador Projects | VOLUNTEER

Traditionally, the United Way Volunteer Center refers volunteers to any project in our community. Ambassador Projects are different because the Volunteer Center evaluates the community's needs in education, income, and health, and engages volunteers in United Way projects having the biggest impact in those areas.

What are Ambassador Projects?

United Way Ambassador Projects are recurring, hands-on projects that take place in the community and advance the mission and vision of United Way. These projects are led by a Volunteer Leader and are carried out by Ambassador volunteers. Projects are selected by our volunteer team and have a minimum 6-month commitment from our organization. The frequency of a project depends on the capacity of both United Way and the partner organization.

Why Ambassador Projects?

  • No long-term volunteer commitment required
  • Hands-on involvement in United Way's Education, Income and Health work
  • Organizations have a consistent number of volunteers for particular projects
  • Organizations have few coordination and project detail responsibilities
  • Provide United Way supporters a way to engage in the community

Come help us advance the common good and become a United Way Ambassador!
