Become a United Way Caring, Giving Community
Show the community you care: Partner with United Way.
What does being a United Way Caring, Giving Community entail? Being a United Way Caring, Giving Community entails making a commitment to help change lives in our community. The commitment involves making a predetermined and agreed upon donation to United Way at the closing of each sale of land or home. The level of commitment, whether a specific dollar amount given per sale or a percentage of the sale price, can be discussed and decided between the developer and a representative from United Way. Regular contributions to United Way should also be written in each community’s bylaws.
What are the benefits? As a United Way Caring, Giving Community you are demonstrating to potential homebuyers that your company cares about the community and the people who live here. You are giving people a reason to feel good about buying from you and belonging to your homeowner’s association and a reason to recommend your company.
United Way will provide your company permission to use our logo to create signage and promotional materials. In addition, United Way will send a news release to Ottawa County newspapers announcing our partnership.
Why support United Way? United Way creates lasting change in people’s lives by addressing the underlying causes of the most significant local issues. By bringing together a broad range of financial and human resources, United Way is in a unique position to positively impact the community. Your contribution to United Way will support community services that are accountable for delivering measurable results and changing lives.
