Keynote speaker Geoffrey Canada
Geoffrey Canada is a remarkable innovator, renowned education figure, and believes the most important path to success for our kids is through education. He found in Harlem, New York, that just going to school wasn’t enough for kids to succeed. He knew firsthand it would take more to help them rise up above poverty, violence, and other environmental struggles to not just survive, but thrive.
As founder and CEO of Harlem Children’s Zone, Canada developed a program from birth to career, recognizing the importance of community involvement, services, early childhood education, afterschool programming, and parent involvement in the comprehensive support of a child.
His address will focus on school-community partnerships and how they lead to success for children, families, and neighborhoods. We hope to see you there!
