Emergency Food & Shelter
We recognize meeting basic needs is the very first step on the spectrum of financial stability. We believe families and individuals should have access to emergency food & shelter and disaster assistance. This includes supporting programs that provide hot meals to the hungry, safe and clean emergency shelters for the homeless, and stocked and healthy groceries and toiletries available at local food pantries.

Stable Families Collaborative

The United Way Stable Families Collaborative, through support by the Siemer Family Foundation, provides families with school-age children who are at risk of becoming homeless with a combination of immediate emergency funds and resources to keep them in their home. It increases the child’s academic success by allowing him/her to remain in the same school. Each family is assigned a full-time prevention specialist who provides intensive case management services to remedy the immediate barriers to keeping their home. The family also receives follow-up support to help them maintain housing and school stability. Through your support, we can enable families at imminent risk of becoming homeless to keep their homes and reduce homelessness in our community.
