Our Vision for Education
I believe education is the building block for a better life, and it is the single most significant issue in our community right now.
I believe every child deserves a quality education, but it takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future.
I believe high school dropouts are years in the making, and early intervention is the key to success. I support efforts to ensure every child who enters high school will walk across the stage four years later.
I believe in the power of parents, families, teachers, administrators, students, clergy, businesses, and members of the community working together for the common good.
I believe our graduation rates are unsustainable, and getting our kids a quality education is absolutely at the core of our community’s sustainability.
I believe the time is now to stand up and LIVE UNITED for education – for our kids, our community, and our nation.
Therefore, I raise my hand for education in support of United Way’s bold goals for education and our community’s efforts to increase graduation rates in Ohio.
