United Way AmeriCorps strengthens our communities by promoting volunteerism and providing service to residents and communities through focused programs, outreach, and personal development in citizenship.

“Since I've been meeting with my students, I've been talking about the importance of attendance and how it impacts their grades. Most were really receptive to the concept, and that gave me hope. Now when my students see me, they are really excited to point out how they made it to school on time and are attending their classes. My students have also realized the importance of goals and how setting goals – even creating a vision board – can help keep them focused.
