Our Work
For more than 100 years, United Way has fundraised for, and invested in, the Greater Toledo community. With over 20,000 donors and 10,000 local volunteers we continue to bring incredible people together to make positive local change.

PROGRAMS
We support 60 programs which provide education, financial stability, health and housing resources to people within our three-county footprint.
PARTNERSHIPS
We partner with community organizations and corporations to ensure adults, families and children can live the happy and healthy lives they deserve.
GRANTS
We provide unrestricted funding to organizations who offer education, financial stability, health and housing resources to community members in Lucas, Ottawa and Wood counties.
LEADERSHIP
We are the hand-raisers, we’re friend to the underdog and foe to the oppressor. We’re the steadfast leader you can can count on bring people together and address the challenges that need us most.
ADVOCACY
At United Way, when we say “advocate,” we mean…lend us your voice. That entails writing letters, sending emails, hosting meetings with elected officials and sharing what issues matter to our partners and those we help serve. Our advocacy work is nonpartisan and totally issue-focused.
